Belle Istanbul

Reblogged from Emreboy:

Istanbul

We are here with three big rollers and one small rolling suitcase each.  Turkish Airlines offers more options, but is as inflexible as other airlines on baggage weight.  As I packed, I weighed each on a bathroom scale trying to balance it all, but in the flurry to get away, we stuffed things in pockets, disturbing my careful distribution, and incurred excess charges.

Spoken Word Artistry ~ 'The Light'

I've been remiss in not linking to this, a video dropped in November. Melbourne-based spoken word artists Luka Lesson and Omar Musa in Istanbul transcending, produced by Tenicee. I've watched these poets over the past few years absolutely grasp hold of and embody and master their craft. They both tell stories from their hearts and from the heart of Australia in all its struggles and joys.

Istanbul is like an open book, an ancient tome, still waiting to be cracked open.  And the flourishing design culture is standing up even to the Hagia Sophia.  From the star-spangled runners to the fake eyelashes, an Istanbul hipster at the design cafe next to the 14th-century Galata Tower in Istanbul.

Anti-mall...the Grand Bazaar is a vast covered-market that encompasses more than 50 streets.

Having seen Miss Maria Sharapova in WTA İstanbul, I was really impressed. I was impressed not only with her beauty and grace but also with the power within her. The idea that power and beauty can be found in one being is impressive.

While  she is one of the best tennis player in the world is is also a great idea that being powerful doesn't mean that you have to be uncurteous.
